A cohort of students from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government did an in-depth study of the Asheville Reparations process. They explored legal pathways for our local governments to fund various reparations-related programs, researched precedents for reparations in other parts of the state and country, and laid out strategies for pursuing reparations from private and non-profit institutions.
At 11:30 am on May 24, 2024, the students presented their final report on Zoom, answered questions, and engaged in dialogue with concerned community members.
